Sayer – a steering wheel for self-driving cars from Jaguar Land Rover05 September 2017
Cars of the future do not need a steering wheel, as they are controlled autonomously using voice commands. However, Jaguar Land Rover has come up with a practical application for this car part and provided it with artificial intelligence.
Sayer will play the role of assistant, helping to find a car. Users do not need to have their own cars. To be more precise, users will own a steering wheel and will be able to rent all the rest. According to developers, buyers automatically become members of a car-sharing club. When you have to drive somewhere, artificial intelligence will find a vehicle and send it to your house. You will just have to attach the device to the panel and enjoy your ride.
This steering wheel will become the main part of the future concept car Jaguar Future-Type. The invention will be available to attendees of the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Fest, which will take place in London from the 8th to 10th of September.
