Wearable technologies, modern gadgets, smart house technologies, extended data transfer, automatized systems, sensors, and soft that allows to monitor various processes online – all these things don’t surprise progressive users anymore, although there are various life hacks and special features, allowing not only better understand the Internet of things and digital technologies but also learn how to control them.

This year, we will have 2 workshops with the similar, and above all, relevant thematic, which conference participants will be able to attend without additional costs.

Start: 10.30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Organizer: Amperka

Topic: Automatic plant watering on Arduino

The workshop will consist of two parts:

The first part will allow participants to find out how to come from idea to ready-made device for sale based on the Easy Grow project made of Amperka details; within the second part, one will install an automated plant watering system. It will be a simplified release version of the Easy Grow project. The development manipulator will be Iskra JS, Arduino platform. The device will be programed on JavaScript language.

Participation in the workshop requires programming basic knowledge. However the age category is not limited!

Start: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Organizer: MGBot

Topic: Smart greenhouse creation

Workshop participants will get acquainted with general principles of the Internet of things creation and required minimum of controllers and sensors. Then, they will create a prototype of a smart greenhouse connected to the Internet, a specific example of the Internet of things, within 2 hours directed by the experience instructor.

Five ready-for-service kits, consisting of the installed and programmed greenhouse pattern, will be available for workshop participants.

Participants will have to develop a web application that will remotely obtain data from light, humidity and temperature sensors through the Internet. Based on this data, the application will remotely regulate lighting, water, open and close a greenhouse window for aeration. All processes will be shown on a laptop display, so participants and the audience will be able to see them on the greenhouse. Due to the example of the smart greenhouse pattern, workshop participants will learn how to develop web applications in ThingWorx cloud service by PTC, one of world’s leaders in the Internet of things software area.

The prototype of the smart greenhouse is a reduced copy of a real big smart greenhouse located in St. Petersburg.

Participation in the workshop requires programming basic knowledge. However the age category is not limited!

LET US RECALL! Workshops will be open and we allow everyone who will buy conference tickets to attend them.

Working hours: 10:00-18:00
