Oksana Pogodaeva will participate in the panel discussion ‘Satellite communication in the future 5G infrastructure’
Oksana Pogodaeva, co-founder of GroozGo cargo transportation online service, will participate in the panel discussion organized as part of the international Internet of Things Forum on March 27.
The topic of the panel discussion is ‘Satellite communication in the future 5G infrastructure. A unified platform for smart cities and IoT’. Together with other experts, Oksana will discuss prospects of 5G network deployment in Russia.
Oksana Pogodaeva graduated from the National Research University Higher School of Economics majoring in Supply Chain Management, Logistics in 2013. Being a student, she started working for Danone at the procurement department. Later, she worked as a logistics manager at Sony and Dyson. In 2016, she became a co-founder and head of logistics at GroozGo cargo transportation online service having joined efforts with Anna Kachurets.
GroozGo is like Uber for cargo transportation sector, as co-founders say. In October 2016, the service received financing from the business angel Anton Starsky from Rusnano – 2.5 million rubles. It allowed improving the platform and finding a strong industrial partner – logistics operator KPD Group that purchased GroozGo’s control packet of shares for 120 million rubles in June 2017.
As a result, the project grew rapidly making 10.5 million rubles in the first two months of 2018 – the same amount as in 2017 in total.
