Smart speakers became very popular in 2017. Amazon, Apple and Google have created top three models. The companies want smart speakers to become as common as microwave ovens or TVs. Moreover, experts believe that these gadgets will be trendy in 2018.

Smart speakers can hear you, analyze your words and fulfill requests. In other words, it's a device with a built-in voice assistant: you can ask it to turn on the music, talk about the weather, voice the recipe or call a friend.

There are three Amazon Echo models available. The speakers are equipped with a virtual assistant Alexa, it can book tickets, manage a smart house or answer standard user questions.

The device costs 30 – 150 dollars (depending on the model).

There are three Google Home models available as well. The speaker is not that good in “communicating” with people, but the sound is powerful. Virtual assistant can improvise: for example, instead of answering "I do not know", it looks online the best answer to user's request. Yes, it can be a stupid answer, but the accuracy will increase over time.

Google Home costs up to $300.

Apple HomePod is the most beautiful smart speaker in the shape of an elongated subwoofer with seven speakers. The sound is loud and high quality. The gadget can be integrated into the Apple and AirPlay 2 system to transfer songs from the phone to speakers, even when gadgets are in different rooms.

HomePod costs 349 dollars.
